(5 Feb 2016) The United Nations mission in Mali said a car bomb exploded on Friday outside a mission police station in Timbuktu, and there was shooting between the attackers and forces.
A mission spokeman said that one person who was injured had been transferred to a health care facility. He said there were not many police at the camp because they were moving the headquarters closer to the airport.
He said the Malian army and UN forces were fighting the other attackers.
