The all-new Hyundai Verna was launched in India on March 21, 2023. It is a mid-size sedan that is available in two engine options: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol. The NA petrol engine delivers 115hp and 144Nm of torque, while the turbo-petrol engine churns out 160hp and 253Nm of torque. Both engines are available with a 6-speed manual or an IVT automatic transmission.
The new Verna has a sleek and stylish design that is inspired by Hyundai's Sensuous Sportiness design language. It gets a wide cascading grille, swept-back headlights, and LED taillights. The interior is also well-appointed and features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a sunroof.
The new Verna is priced from Rs. 10.90 lakh to Rs. 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It competes with the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.
