There's one thing in life that I find myself gravitating to as I get older and that is equipment that makes my life easier. This Eastonmade Ultra is one such piece that saves my back and body from too much wear and tear by helping me split firewood in a comfortable and efficient position. Splitting firewood used to be a chore at times with my old wood splitter in which I had to spend a great deal more time hunched over the wood splitter due to it's lower height and slower cycle time. Factor in the lack of a 4 way wedge on my old hydraulic wood splitter and this new Eastonmade Ultra seems like a colossal leap forward. The truth is, it is! I'm having a great time out here today watching this splitter do it's thing as I try to keep it fed. That's turning out to be the hardest part about owning this wood splitter, keeping it fed. It splits rounds into firewood so fast that it has time to take a breathe while I regroup and wonder what just happened. I better round up some help around here to keep this machine fed as it's going to start to laugh at me if it keeps outworking me. Glad you're all along for the tour today, should be a good one .
For anyone who is interested....the IBC cage holds approximately 1/6th of a cord of firewood or if you were to cut the pieces 16" long that would make a single pile that is about 4 feet long by 4 feet high.
