"Did she break your heart or did you?" Extended scene from the movie (500) Days of Summer. About the ideals and aspects of ourselves we place and impose upon those we're romantically attracted to. Did someone else break our heart as in a specific person or the world as a whole, or did we break our own expecting them to be something they're not, just because its what we wanted them to be, to fulfill some deep seated basic need in ourselves? Interesting food for thought. I find the idea of the breaking of one's own heart a fascinating concept. Should have kept that line in the movie. Maybe they felt it was too on the nose in terms of themes the movie was exploring.

PS - When I say extended scene, I tried to upload more of the scene, but it got flagged, so this is all I could do - sorry. Most of the rest was in the movie anyway, I just thought that one line was important. All rights to FOX - I own nothing.
