"Tootsee Roll" is a song by rap group 69 Boyz released as the first single from their debut album 199Quad. In the United States, the song was certified Platinum and reached a peak of number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early January, 1995, number nine on the Hot R&B Singles chart and topped the Hot Rap Singles chart, as well. Tootsee Roll took 27 weeks to hit its Billboard Hot 100 peak of #8, spending the previous four months in the Top 20 before finally reaching its peak.
The song was also ranked at #73 on the list of the 100 Worst Songs Ever by Matthew Wilkening of AOL Radio, who claimed that "not only does [the] band name include '69,' and a 'Z' in place of an 'S'," but that the song also "compares women to food."
