Less than 24 hours ago I had an idea. Starting around midnight, I spent almost 6 hours generating over 700 carefully crafted images. I got a few hours of sleep, then began editing my individual frames into one video, ensuring every single frame transitioned as smoothly as possible into the next. Hundreds of cuts, pans, translations, color adjustments and more were used to sand down the edges.
I added in some lighting effects to finish it off, most clearly seen at the beginning - the green/yellow/blue spire builds up energy at the bottom, and then it shoots upward out of the top.
This was a learning experience. This isn't the first AI animation video you've seen but it's the first I've made (and it loops!) I have gained a wealth of experience from this project that will apply to the next.
All in all, I've spent around 15 of the last 22 hours of my life on this bad boy. I have lots of ideas that could improve it, but I'll save those for the next one. After all, this was just supposed to be a test.. I get a little carried away sometimes.
Until then, please enjoy my creation: Journey 1
