About these tapes:
Originally recorded in 1982 by Henk Schoenville when U.G visited Amsterdam. Henk edited the tapes and called them - Give Up.

Eventually these tapes were transcribed by Ellen Chrystal, edited by Ellen and Julie Thayer and the book “The Courage to Stand Alone” was published by Autonomedia and Non-Duality Press.

U.G. had no copyright on any of his books or conversations. In fact he never wrote a book, but all books were either transcriptions of his conversations or people’s descriptions of their experiences with him. He never made money through these books, just as he never charged money for people to come and visit him and never formed any organization of any kind. His door was open to all freely and without conditions. There are so many wonderful video clips of him speaking with friends on YouTube! Many people are becoming aware of him through this medium, which would have delighted him no end.
