this was supposed to be a joke pls don't drag our latin*

*too seriously, but of course feedback is welcome

I don't usually cover pop music, but I found this medieval-style instrumental cover of Havana by stantough recently (please check it out!) and it's a high-key bop, so naturally I wrote to my friend like "lmao imagine this but in latin" and then it accidentally happened oops
** I’m also very much aware that Classical Latin isn’t medieval but this isn’t a medieval cover and nowhere do I say it is - it’s just the arrangement that’s medieval and I used it because imo it slaps and deserves recognition. It would’ve been equally unrealistic to sing this in Modern English, but I don’t think anyone would have a problem with it then and at the end of the day it’s just as it is in the title: a Latin cover.
TL;DR style =/= language; latin is not exempt from this and we have whole psalms in ecclesiastical latin let us have this
this has been a PSA
** also i wouldn’t sing in ecclesiastical latin if my life depended on it sorrynotsorry
