I took my radio van out to near Sewstern to the British Model Flying Association HQ there. I'm a member of the South Kesteven Amateur Radio Society, and this was a SKARS event. I took along the 1964 Heathkit HF set (120W) & had contacts on the 40 Metre band (7Mhz), though only 2-way within the UK. All the continental stations we not speaking English! I took along the 1980's Yaesu FT480R & FT780R for 2M & 70cms multimode use.
Fun day out anyway & Mr Chippie was there (2E0FKC) and also Mark (G7NDJ) who feature in our CB test videos
