How do I activate my low belly to heal my DIASTASIS & RIB FLARE?!🤔
Can you see my ribs “pooping” or subluxing (I can feel the pain and discomfort when they move out of place😖)
You can see I have an abdominal separation above the belly button and more weakness on the right side (note: I had my gall bladder removed 14 years ago too causing weakness!)
I had right sided rib pain and popping for most of my pregnancy because baby girl hanging out underneath my right ribs most of the time🤣 BUT this stretched and weakened my tissues more on that side!
Your ISA should be symmetrical forming a 90 deg angle but mine is still wider since pregnancy and postpartum!
I had an emergency c-section about 14 wks ago now and have been doing diaphragmatic breathing and exercise for my belly and pelvic floor everyday to heal this rib flare and diastasis!🙌
Healing takes takes TIME! So just because you hit 6-8 wks doesn’t mean you have the strength to return to all activities, exercise, sex, etc⬇️⬇️⬇️
It’s not always about what CORE and pelvic floor exercises you do but more importantly HOW you do them that matters most...🤯
Do you know how yo activate your transversus abdominus or TA muscle and pelvic floor properly w/o rib flare?!🤷♀️
Remember, having a strong core is not about doing a 150 sit ups (that hurts my neck and back thinking about it!) It’s about activating the right CORE muscles at the right time specifically the TA!
You need PROXIMAL stability for DISTAL mobility when it comes to CORE STABILITY✅
The important take away is to make sure you perform CORE exercises safely and correctly!✅
