CC2 will seek to advance the Web3 capabilities of high-profile sporting and entertainment firms to create nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and fan tokens, construct decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and play-to-earn (P2E) games, as well as implement a range of programms and services for their community.

Chiliz has established itself as the leading digital asset for sporting engagement, with their native token, CHZ serving as the primary currency within the fan-orientated Socios.com platform.


Chiliz has defined the fan token market with its Socios platform, signing soccer giants like FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus, plus the UFC, F1 teams, and esports clubs—over 130 partners in total. Chiliz powers the Socios.com platform. In order to obtain fan tokens issued by the platform, users need to buy CHZ tokens and exchange them with fan tokens.


The Argentine athlete will play a key role in publicity and promotion campaigns that Socios.com is creating ahead of the Qatar World Cup 2022, which starts in November. The agreement is worth more than $20 million and will have Messi as the face of Socios.com for three years.
