14 km stretch from Tuensang to Noklak road has become inaccessible to the people of the state after the road leading to the districts were completely cut off on 5 August owing to incessant rains which led to nonstop rockfall creating havoc for the commuters. According to sources, some people are still stranded in Saddle (a place between Tuensang and Noklak), traveling from Tuensang to Noklak due to the roads being blocked. It has been said that the Noklak Road Project team are trying their best to clear up the road however it is yet to be ascertained as to when the landslide area will be cleared and will be available for the vehicles to ply on. Meanwhile, the authorities have advised the commuters to take the road from Yakor to Pathso to Noklak via Tsuwao as an alternative road but added that it is meant only for light vehicles
