11 plane military aerobatic team was performing across Canada to uplift people mood in this depressing, COVID-19 time. They stayed overnight in Kamloops. The next day the weather deteriorated, so they cancelled their next cities performances and they were ready to fly west to their military base in Comox BC. Hundreds of people were watching and waiting for their delayed departure. The first 2 planes took off and within 45 sec it ended up in tragedy. Female pilot died and male pilot ended up in hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries. The smoke is from pilots ejecting, but of course they have very little chance at about 500'. This video was taken from my hangar location by our daughter. I was taking pictures.
