Pruning is like giving your plant a good haircut for its own good. We have a lot more control over the shape and size of plants than people realize.

This video demonstrates how to shape a hydrangea shrub into a tree by making certain cuts. This will result in a healthier plant and the shape you desire. This can be very helpful if you have a specific area with certain dimensions or limitations for this kind of plant.

All the pruning tips here also apply to tree hydrangeas or other paniculata/panicle/peegee types (vanilla strawberry, firelight, etc.)
