This piece originated from an intrinsic feeling in which I wanted to hold on to the movement and the harmony supports the melody in its ultimate form. I wrote it as a Milonga, an Argentinian dance that stems from the tango and wanted to illustrate the moment when lightness disappeared and the darkness shows itself for the first time.

"Intrinsically" is the fourth single from Robin Scherpen's solo debute album, that he wrote during a period of time where he could not bare any light because he had to recover from eye surgery. The album 'For The Unseen' is a tribute to that period of time and the realization that intuition is the only thing he needs to exist as an artist. 'Without visual noise, there is complete freedom to compose from the heart. In the music that resulted from it, he takes his audience into the dark and back into the light. Every now and then he asks them to close their eyes, because often we see so much more without looking. This increases the empathy of his gripping and inspiring story.
