Munsiyari is the name of the sub-division headquarters, a conglomeration of revenue villages and it also refers to the entire region as Munsiyari Tehsil and Sub Division in the Pithoragarh District in the hill-state of Uttarakhand, India.

Birthi Falls is one of the most beautiful and serene places we have seen. The walk is not as long as some people think. It's a short 10 minute leisurely walk to the Falls. Great place to relax quietly, take pictures, and have a cup of tea in lovely surroundings. Also across from the entrance to the Falls is a shop where you can buy local produce. If you are planning to stop on the way, allow 1 hour to walk leisurely and enjoy the Falls. The place is managed by the local villagers and the nominal ticket charges(Rs. 20 per ticket) go to the Local Panchayat and are used for maintenance of this exquisite place.
Amazing view of step cultivation on the valley on the western side. It is a small white structure with a conical facade & a sacred temple of Nanda Devi.
