Brick production is still an ancient practice in many countries, so as in Nepal; where bricks are produced in artisanal kilns fueled by coal, wood, and other biomass materials. As a result, voluminous amounts of black carbon are spewed into the atmosphere. This short documentary on the Brick kiln is aimed to raise awareness to various stakeholders by showing efficient technologies, can result in reductions of pollutant emissions. The documentary has captured from the different types of kilns, current policies and generally an overview of brick making in Kathmandu.
