Daniel récompensé / Daniel Adorned - Conductus: Solvitur in libro Salomonis
Mulier hae illi comparetur cujus rex subsidium meretur.
Ejus nam facundia verborum arguit prudentiam doctorum.
Nos quibus occasio ludendi hac die conceditur solemni.
Demus huic praeconia devoti, veniant et concinent remoti.
Processional for the departure of the Queen:
In the book of Solomon there lies worthy and apt praise for womankind:
her worth is far beyond the limits of this world.
Her husband safely entrusts his heart to her, he is master of rich spoils.
This woman is comparable, who gives succour to the King.
The eloquence of her words outshone the wisdom of the wise men.
Now, we who on this feast·day have been allowed to perform our play-
let us offer to her our devoted praise, and may those from far off join in our song.
