ANDREW YANG DOESNT SUPPORT BERNIE SANDERS FREE COLLEGE HERES WHY #YANGGANG
There has been an ongoing debate during the 2020 election cycle about free college. Bernie Sanders is proposing making it free comparing it to the German system however what he seems to be missing the importance of vocational training. Andrew Yang on the other hand is propsing making funding available to vocational programs to help increase the skill level of the american worker. The German VET system has created a higher paying, highly skilled worker and without additional vocational training, free college is not the answer.

Increase funding to vocational programs within public schools.
Direct the Dept. of Education to provide materials to all public schools about career paths that don’t require a college degree.
Prioritize career paths that students express interest in rather than giving blanket advice that college is the right/only option.
Begin a public education campaign championing vocational jobs and education, “I Work With My Hands – And It’s Awesome.”
