Angel Reese Ejected From WNBA Game After Controversial Incident With Referee
The WNBA has rescinded the second of two technical fouls that led to Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese's ejection in the final minutes of Tuesday's game against the New York Liberty. Reese was ejected after referee Charles Watson initially called her for a personal foul. After protesting the call, Watson whistled her for two quick technical fouls, leading to her ejection. The WNBA decided to rescind the second technical, which did not get Reese back for the final minutes of the game. The decision will save her some money and lessen the odds of a potential suspension down the road. The first three technical fouls a player receives in a season come with a $200 fine, but Reese will still owe $200 for the second technical. A seventh technical foul in a season comes with an $800 fine and an automatic suspension. @RLAMO
