Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said Tuesday evening that four more bodies had been found during the day's search efforts at the site of the Surfside condo building collapse, bringing the death toll to 36. There are now 109 people unaccounted for.
With the remainder of the building having been demolished, officials also said that it had made a "significant impact' in allowing emergency crews to be able to search areas they weren't able to properly search before.
Tropical Storm Elsa threatens to hamper the operation with strong winds and rain.
Global Affairs Canada confirmed that the body of one Canadian was found at the site. At least three other Canadians remain unaccounted for.
No one has been rescued alive since the initial hours after the collapse.
