Happy #freefoodfriday ! 🥬 Here is 2 weeks progress of green onion scraps grown in water vs. soil. Water one was placed next to window, soil one was placed outside.
.
✅ For the one in water, make sure you change it every few days when starting out . It can get grimy and cloudy, once the roots start getting bigger they will start to drink up the water faster ! So you’ll notice you won’t have to change out the water, just refill it since most the cup will be empty.
.
I’ve been doing this for years as it is one of the simplest things you can regrow. I had tried garlic cloves in the past, but I overwatered em and they always rotted 😅 google other scraps though, you can do onions, carrots, lettuce, etc! Grocery stuff you buy that shows some roots or new growths!
