𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨

The Bangalore Metro train (known as Namma Metro) commenced operations in October 2011. A much-anticipated feature of public transport in Banglore, it had been in the pipeline for more than two decades and is the second-longest operational Metro network in India after the Delhi Metro.

Tickets are not required for children below 3 feet. No age criteria is considered.

The Automatic Gates admit one person at a time. Hence every passenger needs to carry one token or smart card.

Minimum Fare will be charged for entering into a station.

Penalty for ticketless travel or lost ticket is Rs.200/- apart from maximum token fare.


Currently the Metro Phase 1 network consists of two corridors that include the East west and north-south corridors.

The eastwest corridor is named as Purple Line and the northernmost corridor is named as Green Line with a total length of 42.3 kilometres serving 40 stations. The system has a mix of underground, street level, and elevated stations using standard-gauge tracks. The metro has an average daily ridership of 4,50,000 passengers by 2019 report.


Phase - 2 with two more stretches of Namma Metro’s covering 72.1-km network are set to become operational in 2020, provided the trial runs start as scheduled and expected to be completed by 2023. This includes the Yelachenahalli Road up to Anjanapura Township as well as the Mysuru Road to Kengeri line.

Chickpet is situated In Bangaluru, Karnataka, India, nearest to Bangaluru City Railway Station and Majestic Bus Stand and a part of Krishna Rajendra / K.R. Market City.

It's a shopping hub of both Wholesale and Retail products with wide range of materials for cheap rate and good place for shopping for low and middle income groups and hence it is called as Chickpet means "Pretty Much".

They have a large collection textiles , fruits and vegetables and lot of other items including electrical goods...
