The Turkish Foreign Ministry says Turkey will develop necessary policies on visa liberalization with the European Union, and implement them in line with recent statements made by President Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan said last week that Turkey would not make the changes to its terrorism laws required under a deal with the EU to curb migration. The Ministry said Turkey has re-admitted nearly 390 migrants so far, including 14 Syrians. The EU has asked member states to grant visa-free travel to Turkish citizens, in return for Ankara preventing migrants from reaching Europe, but it has also underlined that Turkey still needs to change some legislation.
