Day #1 was a bad start for some of the travelers on this adventure. All Boeing 737-8 planes were grounded due a door coming off of an Alaska Airlines plan, stranding 219 passengers from boarding the Oosterdam in San Antonio. High winds and waves closed the Port of San Antonio, Chile and caused the cancelation of Puerto Montt, Chile to keep the rest of the schedule. The silver lining to this was it allowed 90 passengers to arrive at the cruise terminal overnight and depart with the ship. It's unknown how many, if any, arrived to meet the ship in Puerto Chacabuco.
