The following is a condensed video of two episodes of Brooke Logan's epic horse ride to stop the wedding of Ridge and Taylor which she succeeded in doing.
One of my favorite scenes of "The Bold and Beautiful" was of Brooke finding out that her cellphone messages had been intercepted by Steffy who wrote Brooke messages disguised as Ridge for the purpose of keeping Brooke away from the wedding. Once Brooke figured out she had been deceived, she rode like hell for 10 miles to stop the wedding of Ridge and Taylor.
One question I have is about the horse fall. Obviously it had to be a double that fell off the horse but even so, how could someone fall like that and not break their arm or get huge cuts and scabs on that hard surface. The woman who did the stunt had no protection on her arms. Plus there is always a risk of getting trampled by the horse or falling the wrong way and breaking your neck like you know who - Superman Christopher Reeves. It was probably all a camera trick and no one fell off the horse to begin with. Or maybe they used a very small pony or plastic model horse in the last second.
Real horsefalling from a trotting horse is something that if most of us tried we would probably end up in the hospital one way or another.
Often, I see blunders in the dialogue and there is one here too. Ridge asks Brooke why she is so muddy. She never answers his question which either she forgot her line or the writers forgot to include it. It's important too. Falling off a horse is not a little thing. The line something like, "I hit a tree and was knocked off my horse but nothing could stop me from getting here," should have been included.
Nothing was ever mentioned in any further dialogue that Brooke was knocked off her horse and could have been severely injured or killed. In my opinion that was a bad blunder.
Despite everything, it was nice to see Brooke ride. Hopefully it wasn't a double the whole time.
Riding in to church to break up the wedding and the cellphone explanation and reaction was very humorous.
