In Lecture 8 Dr. Blevins discusses various folk customs, skills, and outdoor activities practiced by pioneer Ozarks settlers, such as house raisings and log rollings, basket making, coopering, bee hunting, and trapping and wildlife.
This course provides a multidisciplinary introduction to the study of the Ozarks region and its inhabitants, including Ozarks history and geography, regional folk culture and traditions, and current issues.
