In this Question Line video, Jason answers the following question submitted by a user through our new GD&T Question submission page:
“I have a question regarding cylindricity. If we’re measuring the ID of a bore (and let’s assume the entire length of the bore is straight) … And I measure .3750 ID at the top of the bore, and .3748 ID at the bottom of the bore… what would the cylindricity value be? Remember, these are being checked as diameters with an air gage.”
Follow along as Jason reviews cylindricity and how cylindricity error is measured.
