Week 8 of the soil Vs Hydro test and the hydro side has overtaken the soil side in growth by about 20%. Considering I didn't give the hydro side the best start I am impressed with the growth rate in the mid to late veg stage.
Both sides are now flowering and healthy. They are both a little stretched but I think that is because the light level is not that high as I only have a 315W CMH in each tent delivering about 300 PAR at canopy level. I am running the lights for 16 hours so they are getting 18 DLI (daily light integral) where 25 would be on the high end.
The soil side has been very easy and I have only had to increase the watering and feed manually once a week with Canna Terra Vega and Flores. The Hydro side has been a lot more work. The water temps are about 21 Degrees which should be ok but the PH has dropped overnight a few times and a little algae has appeared (I can feel slime on the pipes inside) so I've had to clean out every 10 days and refill. PH adjustment is required every few days and water topped up also.
