The Glory of Cremona: A Violin by Carlo Bergonzi named The "Constable" made in 1731 and played by Ruggiero Ricci. Carlo Bergonzi followed more nearly the style of the Guarneris than that of Stradivari and was probably trained in the shop of Joseph Guarneri, son of Andrea. This beautiful example takes its name from its early English owner, Sir Clifford Constable.
