The resettlement of Ugandan returnees who were expelled from Tanzania 4 years ago is causing tension among people in Kyegegwa district in western Uganda. According to inhabitants, more than 5000 returnees sneak out of their camps and destroy their gardens and other properties. Former Tooro Kingdom Premier, Stephen Irumba claims that part of the land on which the returnees are settling belongs to him.The returnees were expelled from Tanzania in 2013 and first settled at Sangobay camp in Rakai and Kikagate in Isingiro district.
