Recipe for Guyanese Pholourie (Guyanese Snack)
Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Split Peas
4 Cloves Garlic
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Yeast (activate yeast in warm water)
1 Cup Flour 1 Seasoning Pepper
1 Tbsp Geera
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Green Seasoning (optional)
1 Tsp Turmeric (for color)
1 Tsp Salt
Oil for Frying
Cover Batter for 60 mins before frying
Recipe for Guyanese Mango Sour/Mango Dipping Sauce
Ingredients:
Peel and chop mango into small pieces
5 Cloves Garlic
1 Tsp Salt
2 Wiri Wiri Pepper
Boil for 30 mins on medium heat then mash/puree mango (Dhal Chutney can be used to puree mango).
