This weapon was also used by Britain as a defense against a potential Nazi invasion. A Molotov cocktail is a bottle filled with flammable liquid, like gasoline, fitted with a wick or match that's lit before being thrown. When the bottle hits its target, the wick or match ignites the fuel, creating an instant fireball and spreading flames. It was effective against tanks because it could exploit their ventilation systems, blinding the crew with smoke and damaging their eyes with fumes.
