7.3 µS/h directly at the lens (measured beta + gamma + xray + a bit alpha)
about 0,4 µS/h behind the camera/at the viewfinder, practically less than 2x the natural background radiation
slighly increased radiation coming from the sides around the lens (probably very little x-ray + gamma only)
I have the SMC Takumar 50 1.4 with rubber focus ring grip, its the 7 element version with the serial number 5655555, made around the early 1970s
Its absolutely safe to handle this lens and basically any radioactive lens! Just dont breathe in dust from smashed, thoriated glass, dont lick the lens or hold it for a long period of time at your eye directly with nothing in between and you are 100% safe!
