The 3rd Annual Swiss Day marks the ongoing collaboration between the Wilson Center and the Europa Institut at the University of Zurich.
Preventing violent extremism is one of the key challenges facing today’s policymakers. The Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2014, represents an innovative public-private partnership approach aimed at strengthening the resilience of local communities against violent extremist agendas.
The panelists will explore and discuss the role GCERF can play in bringing together governments, civil society and the private sector to address violent extremism and its main drivers. They will also look into the broader international setting in which preventing violent extremist activities takes place today and discuss the best ways to go forward to coordinate international efforts.
This event is held in co-operation with the Embassy of Switzerland in the United States.
