Sometimes you just like to indulge in party snacks, but what's better when it's homemade? You decide what you put in them!
Here's a recipe on how to make bitterballen/croquettes. It's a binder and filling that's dipped in egg and breadcrumbs and deep fried.
My mom taught me how to make this hit of a snack, it's delicious and I hope you try it out!
This recipe yields 20-25 croquettes
Dit recept maakt 20-25 bitterballen
Ingredients:
250 grams butter
250 grams meat to liking
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
2 bouillon cubes
salt to liking
1 tsp brown sugar
nutmeg
black pepper
1 stick celery
350ml carnation milk
1 cup water
500 grams flour
eggs
breadcrumbs
oil for frying

Ingredienten:
250 gram roomboter
250 gram gehakt, vlees/vis/groente
1 ui
3 teentjes knoflook
2 bouillon blokjes
zout naar smaak
1 tl bruine suiker
nootmuskaat
zwarte peper
1 stuk selderij
350ml koffiemelk
1 kop water
500 gram bloem
ei
paneermeel
olie om te frituren.
