Urine pregnancy positive initially and within 5 -6 days getting negative, this is called a biochemical pregnancy. So a blood value of more than 5 of human chorionic gonadotropin, which is the hormone of pregnancy or beta HCG is positive for any type of pregnancy. This human HCG can be picked up in the urine also. When it is picked up in blood, it is more specific and you know it is anything above 5. A value of above 25 can be picked up in the urine. If the positive, then the beta HCG value has increased more than 25units and if there is an increase, there is a beta HCG rise and then 5 days later it has come down So the possibility is there has been a biochemical pregnancy, that is a pregnancy has been occurred, but a pregnancy has not been implanted into the uterus. So the HCG value would have gone up. It can usually rise up to anything till 1000. But because there was no viable pregnancy there, or because there was no fetal sac there, organic pregnancy don’t come so HCG fell down on itself it has be negative and in due course patient will start getting periods would have started and that is why the cramps would have started.
