In this presentation from June 21, 2015, Dr. Pamela Gay, assistant research professor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, astronomer, writer, and podcaster, host of Astronomy Cast ([ Ссылка ]) and director of CosmoQuest ([ Ссылка ]), wrapped up the final day of the 2015 MAVEN New Media Professional Development Workshop.
The presentation and discussion that followed covered some critical territory in communicating science, but also the importance of acknowledging the humans behind the science. Pamela's focus is on those things that will transform communications efforts from just being an articulate relaying of facts, to being a story of science that invites an audience in.
