Ireland’s biggest theme park will open its gates to a whole new land called Tír na nÓg that houses Europe’s longest intertwining rollercoasters ‘Na Fianna Force’ and ‘The Quest’.
An incredible €22m was spent over the last seven years to get the incredible coasters ready for the 2024 season as coaster enthusiasts from all over Europe descended on the Meath theme park.
And the Sunday World got to ride on the very first run alongside the park’s owner Charles Coyle.
10-year-old Mia told us: “Na Fiana Force might actually be better than Cu Chulainn. I absolutely adored it. It is fast and smooth, and goes on much longer than you expect. I want to go again.”
Managing Director, Charles Coyle of Emerald Park, said, “We are thrilled to unveil Tír Na nÓg after seven years of dedicated work and innovation. This new addition to Emerald Park is not only our commitment to creating unparalleled experiences but also a landmark in amusement park attractions with Europe’s longest intertwining coasters right here in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
“We look forward to welcoming guests to explore and immerse themselves in the magic of our first immersive land - Tír Na nÓg".
The new land will be open to the public form Wednesday May 22 and you can book tickets at EmeraldPark.ie
