I love that sprouts are one of the most accessible, affordable, and nutrient-dense foods on the planet. 🌎 They’re high in fiber, low calorie, and rich in micronutrients, phytonutrients, and antioxidants. If you want to live longer, prevent disease, and get a burst of energy from eating nature’s most powerful healthy food, grab a jar and start sprouting!
It’s WILD that in just three days, you can watch a handful of dry lentils from your pantry grow into 3 cups of mega-nutritious sprouts just by adding WATER. 💦 You don’t need a yard, garden beds, or soil—rinse, soak, and watch those babies grow. Nature is so cool!
HOW TO MAKE LENTIL SPROUTS:
1. In a clean wide-mouth mason jar with a sprouting lid, add 1⁄2 cup of brown lentils.
2. Rinse with water, fill the jar halfway with water, and allow to soak for 8 hours to activate germination.
3. Drain the water and place the mason jar at a downward-facing angle (using a stainless steel sprouting stand if you have one) near a window, with a tray beneath to collect the water.
4. Rinse with cool water 2-3 times a day, for three days, until lentils multiply in size and green sprout tails form.
5. Rinse once more and enjoy!
