'Deck the Halls With Boughs Of Holly' (or sometimes shown simply as 'Deck the Halls) is a traditional Christmas carol.
The melody is Welsh, dating back to the sixteenth century, and belongs to a winter carol, Nos Galan, while the English lyrics, written by the Scottish musician Thomas Oliphant, date to 1862.
This performance, arranged by Cecil Milner, is by Mantovani and his Orchestra with vocals by the Mike Sammes Chorus and Singers, from a Decca-Eloquence double CD titled 'A Song For Christmas', digitally remastered by Chris Bernauer from tracks recorded at Kingsway Hall London in August 1963.
The series producer was Frank Lee
The original Decca 12 inch LP was also titled 'A Song For Christmas. (LK.4557).
