Today at Booze On The Rocks, we make the Scotch Sour cocktail. This sour is based on the standard sour, containing a spirit, sugar and citrus juice. This gives you a balanced cocktail. Using a blended scotch for the base spirit gives you an earthy ness that you don't get with a standard sour using other whiskies like bourbon. Try it out and let me know what you think.

SCOTCH SOUR

2 oz/60 ml Blended Scotch
.75 oz/22.5 ml Lemon Juice
.5 oz/15 ml Simple Syrup
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
1 Egg White

Method

1. Add all of the ingredients to shaker tin.
2. Shake without ice for 10 seconds.
3. Shake with ice for 10 seconds.
4. Fine strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
5. Garnish with an Orange twist.
