The plant lavandin from which lavandin essential oil is extracted is a hybrid of two lavender variants, Lavandula Angustifolia and Lavandula Latifolia. And hence the plant is botanically called Lavandula Hybrida and Lavandula Hortensis. Lavandin oil is similar to lavender essential oil, but it is more potent with sharp aroma.
