Bud Light channel looks as if it has been deactivated.
Companies who disable comments on their videos are asking for trouble, especially one that is already in a LOT of trouble.
Bud Light channel now looks as if it has now been taken down suggests a company with poor to nonexistent social media staff.
Budweiser should have picked a lane and instead has now changed course so much it has agreed both sides of the political spectrum, its customers, its distribution staff, shopkeepers who now have a build up of stock, this is snowballing into a PR Disaster bigger than Ratner and Hoover COMBINED.
The mainstream media are making the Bud Light Boycott into a political issue which is what the U.S media often do automatically, but the truth is the disaster is bigger than politics, remove the visuals and gender issues and listen to the words that Alissa Heinerscheid was on camera saying.
Alissa Heinerscheid insulted a large part of the customer base, a customer who thought that drinking a "light beer" was better than a "real beer" and Alissa has tarred them to the same brush as she puts it "fratty, out of date humour"
I actually think the whole fiasco is 80% Alissa Heinerscheids fault, she is the one who insulted the customer and looks as if she might have been the one who reached out to Dylan Mulvaney who says "I don't know what Mad March is about" and seems to be completely clueless about the sports, sports that often have beers sponsoring them, thus the remaining 20% of the PR disaster.
People who are in charge of advertising and marketing don't ALWAYS have to be qualified as education in such a field doesn't guarantee destiny, and good talented people in those jobs exist, but nobody qualified or not should be unapproachable or have full control without due diligence, otherwise a PR disaster is inevitable.
Alissa Heinerscheid turned out to be a loose cannon who has caused a 5 billion dollar share price drop and sales dive. This is cash that doesn't comeback, nobody is going to buy three times more Bud Light to make up for lost sales.
Bud Light sales plummet is a disaster that is almost at Gerald Ratner and Hoover COMBINED it will be interesting how Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA will move on.
In my opinion and it could happen Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA may discontinue Bud Light if sales drop too far behind competitors. Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA own many other brands that it could easily make "light" versions of (it already has Corona Light for example" There is Becks and Stella Artois also that could pick up the slack.
Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA might discontinue Bud Light and relaunch it under a different name and colour but that might be throwing good money after bad.
