The new Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA) based in Oviedo, is the leading hospital of the Principality of Asturias Health Service.

The HUCA boasts the most advanced solutions for space, infrastructure and equipment not to mention technological and scientific programs to facilitate medical praxis at the highest level in Europe.

In this project, Burdinola has operated as integral supplier, planning spaces, job positions, optimizing functionalities and equipment.
Burdinola has implemented the latest advances and state-of-the-art technology breakthroughs in safety, fume cupboards, materials, environment, sustainability and energy efficiency in HUCA laboratories.

This is how Burdinola has created laboratories ranging from CORE labs to Bio-Chemical facilities, Mass Spectrometry, Microbiology and containment spaces for virology, as well as Pathology Anatomy, Haematology, Blood Bank, Immunology, Genetics and Molecular Oncology; with equipment occupying 2,000 square meters in total.
