On my second day in Rio my friend Cole and I had a few mishaps making our way up to the most famous monument in Brazil. Why take the train when you can hike to the top. The view is better that way anyways. We were there right after the 2016 Olympics and during the Paralympics, so it was quite busy at the top.
If you go, I suggest hiking early in the morning. It's not as hot or busy. The hike is AMAZING!
