►One major drawback to all modern-day direct-injected cars is that carbon deposits build up over time and need to be removed at regular intervals. Carbon buildup is due to the fact that fuel is not injected over the intake valves like in a traditional port-injected car, but instead injected directly into the combustion chamber.
In this DIY, Cory Calvin shows us how to clean the intake valves of the detrimental carbon buildup on a 2013 Audi S4 with the 3.0t engine. This DIY is generally the same for other B8 model S4, SQ5, S5, or any Audi with the 3.0t Engine.
