Episode 12:
This cake was a staple in my house growing up! My mom used to make an abundance of peach preserves for us to enjoy all year long. Canned peaches are a sweet reminder of summer sunshine, especially on a cold winters day. So when this cake came out I was always one of the first to sneak a piece with a delicious cup of chamomile tea and a spoonful of honey - yum!!
This cake is a nice, light snack during any time of the year really - it is prepared quickly with basic ingredients that we usually already have on hand!!
This cake will fill your kitchen and home with such an intoxicating smell! It’s cut into squares and is a great dessert for various celebrations, picnics and potluck parties! Dober Tek 🍑 Enjoy!!
Step 1:
3 x Eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 package vanilla sugar or 1 tsp vanilla extract
Step 2:
1/2 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup of oil
Step 3:
2 cups flour
1 package baking powder or 3 tsp’s baking powder
1. Butter pan & line with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Slice Homemade peaches
3. Pour batter into pan then add sliced peaches on-top
4. Bake 35-40 minutes
