How might the world look in 2050? Which skills might our children need if world events in the next 30 years mean we live in small isolated communities? Key skills may include learning how to work together, sharing compentencies and helping one another. Being a quick learner would help children excel in a future like this.
The Jacobs Foundation partnered with the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute to imagine four possible future scenarios to help guide our thinking about learning and education. We want to transform education systems around the world to provide children and youth with effective knowledge, skills and equitable opportunities to reach their full learning potential and thrive together. To meet this ambitous goal, the Foundation has pledged to invest 500 million Swiss francs for this work in our #Strategy 2030. When we think ahead, we prepare children the best we can to shape the future for themselves.
