While Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke will not face off against Ben Affleck's Batman as planned, the multiversal events of The Flash may make him an even more powerful enemy in Batgirl's realm. In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we met a seasoned Batman who had previously faced several challenges throughout the years.
A heroic sacrifice in the face of Deathstroke may bring his tale to a close while simultaneously propelling Batgirl further in her hero's journey and satisfying those who still want to see The Batman's original goals realized in some manner.
